Copernica

An Anonymity Network

The fundamental reason for relying on tech giants is because we are doing a data dissemination over a host-centric communication system.

Obtaining data in a host-centric communication system means users must go through a host indirection, a data gatekeeper. Where there are gatekeepers you get rent-seekers. It is therefore expected data dissemination monopolies arise as an emergent phenomenon.

Copernica is an anonymity Information-centric networking protocol designed to operate over UDP and Radio Frequency. It is licensed under the Mozilla Public License v2 and implemented in Rust.

Cheap data dissemination as you no longer need to rely on Silly Valley companies.

Location information is stripped from packets. Data names are converted into a sparse representation that is irreversible.

Implemented in Rust allowing you to include it into any programming language that includes C ABI libraries.
